About Me


Hi, I’m Kylie Jiwon Hwang. I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

My research interests lie in the area of entrepreneurship, discrimination, and racial inequality. My dissertation examines: Entrepreneurship as a way to overcome labor market discrimination, focusing on formerly incarcerated individuals in the United States. My dissertation has been awarded the 2018 Kauffman Knowledge Challenge Grant.

I received my PhD in Management from Columbia Business School. I was born in London and attended schools in New York, Washington DC, Seoul, and Riyadh. I like to travel and spend time with my family & friends.
